The 3rd International Scientific Conference “HEALTH. PLEASANT SENSATION. PRACTICE.” P. Stradins Medical College of the University of Latvia
On April 4 2019, took place the 3rd International Scientific Conference “HEALTH. PLEASANT SENSATION. PRACTICE.” organized by the P. Stradins Medical College of the University of Latvia to promote cooperation between students, academic staff, beauty professionals and practitioners in the health sector.
The conference was opened by Ilga Eriņa, director of the P. Stradins Medical College of the University of Latvia, Sabīne Ulberte, Chairman of the Latvian Association of Beauty Professionals, member of the Latvian Physical Medicine Association Vineta Ņehvjadoviča.
In the first half of the day, speakers presented the topical challenges in the beauty and healthcare sector, and shared the lessons and explanations that have been observed in their practice. The conference program was discovered by the doctor, the specialist in ortomolecularal and functional medicine, Antra Briede, who talked about well-being, its importance, and how nutrition affects human health. The plastic surgeon, the president of the Latvian Association of Aesthetic Laser Surgery Valdis Ģīlis, explained the necessary competencies in the work of a beauty specialist.
In the second part of the day, several masterclasses were organized, in which professionals from Latvia and foreign specialists from college partner schools in the Baltic States shared their experience.

The conference was attended by students from study programs “Esthetic cosmetology” and “Medical massage”, graduates and lecturers, representatives from the Latvian and foreign partner schools of college, beauty sector and healthcare professionals.
In the daily summary, visitors of the conference welcomed the work of the organizers and thanked them for the valuable and up-to-date content of the program.
